The Promised Land

God’s original plan for men kind wasn’t to have a blended families or divorces but the moment sin came into our world everything has changed. Everything we were meant to pursue changed drifting our original purpose from happiness to salvation. Originally we were meant to be happy and enjoy our relationships…. with God, nature and other human beings. After sin came into the world God’s plans were changed  because now he had to put into motion a plan of salvation. Now are main goal as humans became our salvation instead of our happiness the purpose for our lives is to live trying to share the good news of the plan of salvation to as many people as possible so we can all go to heaven together to spend eternity with our Lord.

Having a blended family is harder than the regular ones because of all of the consequences of a broken union. The old family is broken and now we have to create a new family with the broken pieces. Our roles as stepmoms is to understand this and work with what we have. I love our God because he is a the God of second chances. Yes, it wasn’t God’s plan for our lives to have to deal with brokenness and the consequences of divorce, but He can always restore the plan and give us another chance to create what he intended us to have in the first place (and while he is at it he can also create a better plan).

If we focus on the main purpose for our lives is will get harder for us to drift into the negativity and bitterness of our situation. Let’s think about it this way… we are here to teach the children by example that the institution of marriage is important and that is can survive. We can show them through our daily lives that God is the key for any successful marriage and that our purpose in this world is to get out of it alive (aka, live our lives according to God’s standards and not the world’s because we aren’t here to be happy because “YOLO”…we are here to have a relationship with God and go to Heaven were everything will be perfect and we will be happy eternally—Jesus slapped “YOLO” in the face on Easter… btw, Happy Easter!).Strenght! courage! youa re going to lead this people to inherit the land that i promised to give their ancestors. Give it everything you have, heart and soul.-2

After the death of Moses the servant of God, God spoke to Joshua, Moses’ assistant:

“Moses my servant is dead. Get going. Cross this Jordan River, you and all the people. Cross to the country I’m giving to the People of Israel. I’m giving you every square inch of the land you set your foot on—just as I promised Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon east to the Great River, the Euphrates River—all the Hittite country—and then west to the Great Sea. It’s all yours. All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I’ll be with you. I won’t give up on you; I won’t leave you. Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors. Give it everything you have, heart and soul. Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don’t get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you’re going. And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.”

Joshua 1:1-9

You have been appointed to take your blended family towards the promised land. Make it your priority to be a spiritual leader, always have in mind that there is something better coming. One day we will all be perfect, our families will be healed and we will have everlasting happiness. Give your heart and soul to get your family there. God will give you the strength and courage.
